Our Approach

  • RESEARCH AND EVIDENCE: We use a range of research methods to assess need, demand, supply, activity levels, performance, and how well the whole service system is working; backed up by evidence from national research on what works, and service and funding models.
  • POLICY AND PRACTICE BRIEFINGS: We share our knowledge by publishing topical briefings on our website. We produce policy, market and service analysis for clients to support their policy or service reviews.
  • PLANNING AND STRATEGY IN PARTNERSHIP: We have well developed models for reviewing and developing strategies which: address the government agenda; involve the full range of partners; engage vulnerable people in the process; and focus on HOW to implement change as well as WHAT change is needed.
  • PARTICIPATION: We engage with service users and the public in local communities to promote inclusion and address community safety.
  • COMMUNICATION: We focus on information and communication as key to achieving ownership and change
